My winter break is six weeks. So sit down and shut up.

That’s because you’re on the semester system. Real men do it one quarter at a time.

Whole lot of nothing recently, rented a car to drive to an interview tomorrow, so I guess that’s kinda cool.

For me, getting three weeks off in a row will probably have to involve a pine box and a crematorium.

Bruh, I finished them 12 years ago and paid off my student loans 2 years ago.

Unfortunately, not distant enough because this is me every couple of months:

Two different classes are taking my final exams this week. I just held a last minute review session for terrified students.
I love Christmas time! Bwaaahaaaaa!!

I thought they got to me Senior year, but if people are having exam nightmares decades after graduation, there must be a whole other level of “got to me” that I’m unfamiliar with.
![]() 12/14/2016 at 14:26 |

Ha, school! Haven’t done that for years. I’m skinny lines, and strippers.

not sure what’s meant by them “getting to you,” but at least xkcd lets me know I’m not the only one. I think it takes a while, too. I still have these occasionally and I graduated in 1999.

Kinda tempted to see what happens if I hit publish on that link...

I didn’t even know that was possible. Wowzer

In reference to stressful situations, “getting to you” is when something overwhelm you or affects you on a mental or emotional level. If you’re still having exam nightmares 17 years later, exams definitely got to you.

Well technically the middle on is a whippet and the smallest one is an Italian Greyhound.

You can keep your finals, but can I take your 3 weeks off...I could really use the time to catch up on all the projects in my garage.

Since I graduated, I’ve had this reoccurring nightmare where it’s finals week during my last semester and I haven’t been to this one class (I think it was English) since the first test, and had no idea what I had in the class, all I knew was I needed to pass it to graduate. I’m freaking out and thinking of going to beg the professor for a D so I can graduate. Ironically I never took English in college.
Real life, I was taking Spanish 1002 my final semester. I walk into class and the prof is like James, where is your essay. I was like, OH that’s due today? Well I didn’t do it, guess there goes 10% of my grade. I had 58/90 points in the class, I needed to get 12/10 on the final to get a C. Since it was my graduating semester and since my prof knew that I think she gave me a C in the class. All I needed was a D and I would have been alright.

I have a reoccurring nightmare of showing up 10 minutes late to calculus and there being a test that I didn’t know about. All the students are getting through page one and I haven’t even started the exam.
PS I graduated in 1997.

Either you had $10,000 in loans, or you did what I’m going to do and lived with your parents until they were paid off...
![]() 12/15/2016 at 11:11 |

Well $20,000, and I lived with my parents for a year put all of my income into loans.

See, I could buy a new S600 with what I’ve racked up in 4 years at a private college where the average student pays their full tuition in cash.

Oof. I got my CPA for about $30,000 out the door, but i had about $10,000 saved before hand. I’m going for my CMA next fall.
